Sunday 31st January 2010

Good Morning All.

Today we have scheduled jumps meetings from Hereford and Plumpton, plus an All Weather flat meeting from Kempton.

It's a very quiet day as far as we are concerned, with nothing making too much appeal.

There will be no bet today.

Looking ahead.

The week ahead looks like being a busy one as far as we are concerned.

There are several interesting looking meetings, which look like providing us with some nice bets across ALL services.

We are expecting to be getting involved with 3 or 4 bets on the mainline during the week ahead.

For those involved, we also have 3 inside information service bets lined up for next week.

Again, for those involved, we are also expecting to be getting involved with some Late Line bets during the week ahead.

We will be looking to continue the good run from last week on the Late Line, where we had 2 winners ( 12/1 & 9/1 ) from 2 bets.

We have plenty to look forward to across ALL services during the coming week.

Back to today.

It's a quiet day as far as we are concerned today, with nothing making too much appeal.

Saturday 30th January 2010

Good Morning All.

Today we have scheduled afternoon meetings from Cheltenham, Doncaster and Uttoxeter over the jumps.

We also have an All Weather flat meeting from Lingfield.

There are inspections due at all the jumps meetings.

Fingers crossed we get some action.

We have 1 mainline bet today.

The race we are interested in as far as the mainline is concerned today, is the 4.20 Cheltenham.

This is a Class 2 handicap hurdle, run over 2 Miles 1 Furlong.

The horse we will be backing here is number 12 QUARTANO.

Quartano is trained by Warren Greatrex and will be ridden today by Paddy Brennan.

Quartano is a lightly raced horse that seems to be improving with each race.

The horse kicked off this season by winning twice in novice company over 2 Miles 5 Furlongs.

He then followed that by running in the grade 1 Challow hurdle at Newbury.

Although well beaten that day, Quartano didn't run at all badly, going well for a long way, in a race that was just a step too far for him at this stage.

On official ratings, the horse would have been getting lumps of weight in a handicap.

With the Challow hurdle being a non handicap Grade 1 Novice event, Quartano was racing from level weights.

On the face of it, he didn't run at all badly there to finish 6th.

He drops back into handicap company today.

On the promise he has shown so far in his career, Quartano makes his handicap debut on a reasonable looking mark.

He will certainly find this more to his liking than the Newbury contest.

There are several in the field that can get on with things, so the race looks like being a true test, with a strong pace likely.

That should suit Quartano, as he clearly stays well, having won twice over 1/2 Mile further.

Warren Greatrex describes the horse as having plenty of speed and plenty of class.

Judging by his 2 wins over 2 Miles 5 Furlongs in testing ground, he isn't short of stamina either.

He has won here at Cheltenham previously also, which is clearly another plus.

A strongly run race over this trip, on a stiff track, under testing conditions, looks like being right up this horses street.

Quartano seems versatile with regards to running style.

Ideally, he would like to settle in behind the early pace, before staying on strongly late on.

However, if the race turned out to be a slowly run affair, then he would be equally at home making his own running, with stamina assured.

With plenty of likely pace options in the race, it doesn't look as though he will need to make his own running.

Paddy Brennan rides Cheltenham well and has a good record when riding for this stable.

He has won 3 from 8 for the Greatrex yard.

The horse is a lightly raced improver with plenty of class.

He enters the world of handicapping on a very reasonable looking mark, so with conditions looking ideal, a bold show looks likely.

As always with Cheltenham handicaps, this is a competitive looking race.

However, with plenty in his favour, Quartano represents solid each way value at the prices available.

We can get 15/2 best odds guaranteed at Paddy Power, Stan James and Tote Sport this morning.

We will take that and back Quartano each way.

That is our only mainline bet today.

For those involved, it is now unlikely that our inside information service bet intended for today will go ahead.

The ground is now a major concern for this horse, so much so, that he may not even now run.

That is disappointing, however, such things can happen in racing as we know.

With regards to the inside information service bets, as it stands now, we are confident of having 3 bets on the service next week, 1 of which is expected to be a huge price.

For those involved, it looks 99% certain that we will be getting involved with a Late Line service bet today.

We are currently waiting for a call returning, after which, the information will be sent out via text message to all involved.

After 2 nice priced winners from 2 bets advised this week, we will be looking to make it 3 from 3 for the week on the Late Line should we get the go ahead.

Back to the mainline.

We have 1 mainline bet today.

Friday 29th January 2010

Good Morning All.

For those involved, we had another nice winner on the Late Line service yesterday.

The David Pipe trained Sona Sasta did the job nicely for us at Ffos Las, advised at 9/1

That followed on from Hannicean, a 12/1 winner for us at Wolverhampton on Monday.

That's 2 bets on the Late Line this week and 2 Winners.

12/1 & 9/1

For anybody not involved in the Late Line service, you can still join should you wish to do so.

Please email for further details.

Moving on.

Today we have afternoon meetings from Chepstow, Doncaster and Newbury over the jumps, with an All Weather flat meeting from Lingfield.

We also have an All Weather flat meeting this evening from Wolverhampton.

We were hoping to be getting involved with a mainline selection today.

However, the horse in question is going to be a much shorter price than we had thought likely.

That being the case, there certainly isn't now any value to be had with this selection.

For that reason, we will be leaving this one alone now.

There will be no mainline bet today.

For those involved, we do have the possibility of an inside information service bet today.

Should we get the go ahead with this bet, then all involved will receive the information via email later this morning.

Again, for those involved, it's possible we could also have some involvement on the Late Line today.

We have had 2 nice priced winners from 2 bets on the Late Line this week, and we will be looking to continue in the same form should we get involved today.

Should there be any Late Line action today, then all involved will receive the information via text message.

Looking ahead.

As it stands now, tomorrow looks to be an excellent days racing, with plenty of decent action for us to get stuck into.

It looks highly likely that we will have involvement on ALL services on Saturday.

Back to today.

It's a quiet day for us as far as the mainline is concerned today, with no bet.

There will be no mainline bet today.

Thursday 28th January 2010

Good Morning All.

Today we have scheduled afternoon meetings from Ffos Las and Warwick over the jumps, with an All Weather flat meeting from Southwell.

We also have an All Weather flat meeting this evening from Kempton.

Today also sees the start of the 2010 Dubai International Racing Carnival.

We have 1 mainline bet today.

The race we are interested in today is the 3.30 Warwick.

This is a Class 3 handicap hurdle, run over 3 Miles 1 Furlong.

The ground at Warwick today will be very testing.

Despite there being only 10 runners, this looks quite a competitive little race.

You would be hard pushed to rule anything out with any great deal of confidence.

There's 2 or 3 in the field that usually like to get on with things, so if they go a reasonable pace, then 3 Miles plus in testing ground will take some getting.

The horse we are interested in is number 5 SIBENEK.

This horse is now trained by Martin Todhunter and will be ridden today by Graham Lee.

Sibenek was previously trained in Ireland by Jessica Harrington.

The horse showed some useful form in Ireland, particularly on very testing ground, with 2 wins and 2 4th placed finishes from his 6 starts.

He then moved to the Martin Todhunter yard.

He had his first start for his new stable at Wetherby in early December.

Following an 8 month absence from the track, the horse ran well enough to finish 4th that day without being given too hard a time.

He would certainly have needed that run fitness wise.

Sibenek has been touted as a potential top class staying chaser in the making, so even on heavy ground, the 2 Miles 4 Furlongs that day might just have been a bit sharp first time out.

The step up in trip looks set to suit today.

The horse is very lightly raced, having had just the 5 starts over hurdles, so is still open to plenty of improvement.

He will relish todays very testing conditions, and the step up in trip is likely to suit.

He should also benefit fitness wise from his previous run.

With plenty of improvement still to come, and conditions here likely to be ideal, it would be no surprise to see Sibenek go very close here today.

The stable haven't exactly been setting the world alight lately, however, this one does look over priced with conditions to suit.

At the prices available this morning, Sibenek offers some each way value in an open race.

We can get 14/1 best odds guaranteed with Betfred, Ladbrokes and Stan James this morning.

We will take that and back Sibenek each way.

That is our only mainline bet today.

For those involved, we have 3 possible inside information service bets lined up this week.

It looks almost certain that we will be getting involved on both Friday and Saturday.

The 3rd of those intended bets is still in the balance.

The bet concerned is due to take place today, however, we are still awaiting confirmation of 1 or 2 things before giving the go ahead for this bet.

Should this bet go ahead today, then all involved will receive the information later this morning via email.

Following a nice 12/1 winner on Monday, it's also possible we could be getting involved with some Late Line action today.

Should we do so, then all involved will receive the information via text message.

Back to the mainline.

We have 1 mainline bet today.

Wednesday, 27 January 2010

Wednesday 27th January

Good Morning All.

Today we have scheduled afternoon meetings from Huntingdon and Musselburgh over the jumps, with an All Weather flat meeting from Lingfield.

We also have an All Weather flat meeting from Kempton this evening.

We have 1 mainline bet today.

The race we will be getting involved in today is the 2.50 Huntingdon.

This is a Class 4 handicap hurdle run over 2 Miles 5 1/2 Furlongs.

The key to this race today is likely to be where the early pace comes from.

There isn't really an obvious front runner in the field.

Elk Trail has gone from the front in the past for previous connections, but was held up on his first run for his new stable last time out.

He also takes a big step up in trip today, so with that in mind, it's quite possible he will be held up again today.

Sun quest led in his last race, however, that was only a 4 runner event and he usually doesn't go from the front.

Huntingdon is a flat, sharp right handed track that can often favour horses that go from the front or race prominently.

With that in mind, the horse we will be backing here is number 10 GUNNADOIT.

Gunnadoit is trained in Newmarket by Neil King and will be ridden today by useful claimer Alex Merriam.

Gunnadoit is a horse that doesn't necessarily lead, but certainly likes to race up with the pace.

The fact there's no other obvious front runner here today, means he might just find himself out infront.

As we have mentioned many times previously, we can never second guess connections with regards to riding tactics.

Just because a horse has been held up in its last 3 runs, doesn't automatically mean it will be today.

However, as a general rule, if the horse has been held up in its last 3 runs, it's highly likely it will be so again.

With Gunnadoit a prominent racer, and with no obvious front runners, he should find himself pretty handy.

That should suit this track.

The horse isn't the most consistent of animals, however, that said, he does have ability if things go his way.

Gunnadoit has won just once from his 13 starts over jumps, however, that did come here at Huntingdon over course and distance.

That is a big plus on a sharp track.

Gunnadoit won comfortably that day from a rating of 91, allowing for the jockeys claim.

He races today from a mark just 2 lbs higher on 93, again allowing for the jockeys claim.

So in effect, he is just 2 lbs higher than for winning a similar race over course and distance by 7 lengths.

Purely on that basis, you would have to say he looks nicely handicapped here today.

Alex Merriam rides this track well, with 7 wins and 4 placed rides from 29 over the last 12 months.

The Neil King stable have been going pretty well recently also.

As mentioned, the horse isn't the most consistent and can certainly throw in the odd shocker.

He certainly wouldn't be one to take a very short price about.

However, he just might get things his own way today.

He will almost certainly race prominently, and with no obvious front runners he could find himself trying to make all.

That probably wouldn't be a bad thing.

The horse can often race lazily, so has the blinkers back on today.

They might just sharpen him up and help him concentrate a little more.

This looks an open contest, and one that is tricky to solve with no obvious front runners in the field.

However, the fact Gunnadoit usually likes to race up with the pace, could be a plus around this sharp track.

As mentioned, the horse isn't always the most reliable, so clearly not one to take a short price about.

However, at a double figure price, he represents some each way value given that he could get things run to suit if on a going day.

We can get 14/1 best odds guaranteed with various bookmakers this morning.

We will take that and back Gunnadoit each way.

That is our only mainline bet today.

Good Morning All.

A quick word about yesterday.

For those involved, we had a nice winner on the Late Line yesterday, with Hannicean getting up on the line to win at Wolverhampton at 12/1.

For anybody not involved with the Late Line Service, you can still join, should you wish to do so.

Please email for further details.

Moving on.

Today we have afternoon meetings from Leicester and Sedgefield over the jumps.

We also have an All Weather flat meeting from Southwell.

It's a quiet day as far as the mainline service is concerned.

There will be no mainline bet today.

For those involved, we again have the possibility of a Late Line bet today.

As it stands now, this bet is probably only 50/50 to go ahead.

Should it do so, then all involved will receive the information via text message.

Looking ahead.

As mentioned yesterday, this week looks promising for us across All services.

We certainly got off to a good start with a nice 12/1 winner on the Late Line yesterday.

As far as the mainline is concerned this week, we are expecting to be getting involved with 3 or 4 bets, the first of which is due to run tomorrow.

For those involved, we also have inside information service bets lined up for later in the week.

With the prospect of further Late Line action also, we have plenty to look forward to across ALL services this week.

it's a quiet day as far as the mainline is concerned though, with no bet today.

Monday 25th January 2010

Good Morning All.

Today we have afternoon jumps meetings from Fontwell, Lingfield and Newcastle.

We also have an All Weather flat meeting from Wolverhampton.

It's a quiet start to the week as far as the mainline is concerned.

There will be no mainline bet today.

For those involved, we do have the possibility of a Late Line bet from Wolverhampton today.

This is purely going to come down to price.

As and when all prices are available for this race, a final decision will be made with regards to this possible bet.

Should we go ahead with the bet, then all involved will receive the information via text message.

Looking ahead.

The week ahead looks promising for us across ALL services, with some interesting looking meetings to get stuck into.

At this early stage, it is quite possible we could be getting involved in 4 mainline bets this week.

Friday 22nd January 2010

Friday 22nd January

Good Morning All.

Today we have scheduled afternoon meetings from Catterick and Chepstow over the jumps, with an All Weather flat meeting from Lingfield.

We also have an All Weather flat meeting this evening from Wolverhampton.

Unfortunately the jumps meeting from Chepstow has been abandoned.

With the meeting at Chepstow abandoned, we have unfortunately lost the inside information service bet intended for today.

For those involved, we do still have an inside information service bet lined up for Saturday.

Fingers crossed we get more luck with the weather.

Back to the mainline.

We have 2 bets on the mainline today.

Both our mainline bets today go on the All Weather at Lingfield.

Our 1st bet today goes in the 3.10 race.

This is a class 6 handicap run over 1 Mile 2 Furlongs.

The horse we will be backing here is number 2 NEW WORLD ORDER.

This horse is now trained by Roger Curtis and will be ridden today by Ian Mongan.

The horse has recently changed stables and his having his 1st run for this yard today.

These types of low grade handicaps on the All Weather are always competitive races, where chances could be given to many if you delve deep enough.

This race appears no different.

The 1st thing that jumps out about this race, is that there doesn't appear to be much early pace.

Not too many of these are horses that like to go from the front or race prominently.

Vinces has gone from the front in the past, but is by no means a confirmed front runner.

Siena Star has also gone from the front and raced prominently previously, but again, would by no means be a confirmed front runner.

The 1 Mile 2 Furlong start at Lingfield sees a bend come quite quickly.

That being the case, a low draw would be advantageous for any horse wanting to go from the front.

Siena Star and Vinces are drawn out wide in stalls 9 and 10 respectively.

As mentioned, neither are confirmed front runners, so it's highly unlikely they will go from the front from those wide stalls.

The one most likely to go on from the front is New World Order.

Our selection is a horse that usually goes from the front or races prominently.

He is drawn in stall 1.

With regards to running styles, clearly we can never second guess connections, and the horse is having his 1st run for a new stable today.

However, the horse has shown all his best form when going from the front.

He also has the perfect draw to go from the front over this trip.

Ian Mongan is usually a good front running jockey, so his booking would indicate that a front running ride is likely from stall 1 here today.

If the horse does get out infront from his good draw, he could just take some pegging back.

As a general rule, it is usually quite difficult to make all here at Lingfield.

However, the majority of races are strongly run with plenty of early pace, which 9 times out of 10 will set things up for the hold up performers and fast finishers.

That just might not be the case here.

There aren't too many of these that usually go from the front, so it could just be that New World Order can get out infront from a good draw and dominate.

If things do pan out that way, then the horse has plenty going for him here today.

The horse looks reasonably well handicapped, and could find more improvement following his change of stable.

Conditions will cause no problems

Good draw.

The horse is back from a 2 month break, which also looks a positive.

Returning from breaks of between 30 and 100 days, the horse has produced form figures of 3221 from 5 runs.

Clearly the horse can go well after being freshened up.

The horse is much better on the All Weather than the Turf, with 9 Win or Placed efforts from 14 starts.

The yard had a winner at Kempton just the other day, which was owned by the same owner as New World Order, and was also having his 1st run for this yard.

Might just get his own way out infront.

Clearly the horse has plenty in his favour in the context of this race.

As mentioned, we can never totally second guess connections, with regards to running tactics.

Making all at Lingfield clearly isn't the easiest thing to do.

However, in a race that doesn't appear to have too much early pace, it's worth chancing that New World Order can get out infront and dominate from his ideal draw.

We can get 11/1 best odds guaranteed with William Hill this morning.

We will take that and back New World Order each way.

Our 2nd bet today goes in the following race at Lingfield, the 3.45.

This is a class 6 handicap, run over 1 Mile.

This race has a similar look to the previous one, in that it looks completely devoid of early pace.

The horse we will be backing here is number 8 VERY WELL RED.

This horse looks the only confirmed front runner in the field.

As with our previous selection, this horse also looks to be well drawn in stall 1.

Very Well Red looks to have plenty going for her, in what looks an open contest.

Conditions fine.

In good form recently.

Yard going well.

Jockey has a decent record for this stable.

Good draw.

Might just get the race run to suit.

As mentioned with our previous selection, making all at Lingfield isn't the easiest thing to do.

However, there again doesn't look to be any real early pace on here at all, which might just enable Very Well Red to get her own way out infront.

If she can, then she too might just take some pegging back.

This is an open looking contest, but Very Well Red has plenty in her favour.

At the prices available, it is worth chancing that she can dictate from the front.

We can get 4/1 best odds guaranteed with Stan James with this morning.

We will take that and back Very Well Red to WIN.

Those are our mainline bets for today.

NO BET TODAY

Monday, 18 January 2010

Monday 18th January

Good Morning All.

Today we have afternoon meetings from Fakenham and Plumpton over the jumps.

We also have an All Weather flat meeting from Wolverhampton.

We were hoping to be getting involved with a mainline bet on the All Weather at Wolverhampton today.

Unfortunately, the race we were interested in has cut up considerably at the final declaration stage.

That has left just a very small field.

That in turn sees the horse we were interested in priced up much shorter than would otherwise have been the case.

There's certainly no value to be had now at the prices actually available.

For that reason, we will be leaving this selection alone now.

There will be no bet today.

For those involved, we were also hoping to be getting involved with an inside information service bet at Plumpton today.

However, the stable are concerned with regards to the fitness of this horse today.

This yard, like many others, have been hampered by the bad weather over the past few weeks.

Training horses in such conditions clearly hasn't been easy.

This yard were hopeful that when racing got going again, their horses wouldn't lack too much for fitness.

However, the yard had 2 runners over the weekend, both of which ran well below expectations.

That being the case, it looks as though horses from this particular yard that run in the next few days might just need the run.

Having seen the way the 2 ran over the weekend, we have been advised that the inside information service bet today will not go ahead.

Under the circumstances, that is probably a wise decision.

The horse in question does still run at Plumpton, however, it won't be heavily backed.

The race today is going to be used to sharpen the fitness of the horse up, before he runs again in about 2 weeks time, where hopefully we will be getting involved.

There will be no inside information service bet today.

Looking ahead.

It now seems that we are, at last, getting some respite from the weather, with conditions slowly but surely starting to improve.

That should mean that racing gets back to normal sooner rather than later.

With regards to this week, there are some nice looking jumps cards for us to look forward to.

Fingers crossed they all go ahead.

At this early stage, it looks possible that we could be getting involved with 3 or perhaps even 4 mainline bets later this week.

For those involved, we do have 2 further inside information service bets lined up for later in the week.

Again, for those involved, we are fully expecting our Late Line service to resume this week after a lengthy absence.

With the weather starting to improve, we have plenty to look forward to across ALL services later this week.

Back to today.

It's a quiet start to the week for us, with no bet today.
